I created this character for a short Star Wars fanfilm entitled 'Pitching Lucas'. The scout and bike were modeled from scratch in Cinema 4D, using photographic reference, as well as a plastic model kit!

This was my first fully modeled and rigged character, and I used Cactus Dan's IK Tools suite for the IK, which made the job a whole lot easier than with MOCCA - much head scratching was done though!

This rigged character was then used within a minute long animated sequence I also created within 'Pitching Lucas' entitled DIPs, and is a parody of the classic 70's biker cop show 'CHiPs'
The figure is Daz's Aiko with various morphs and tweaks, the gun was modeled in Cinema, and the whole lot was textured, lit and rendered in Cinema 4D, with some minor postwork in Photoshop.
Chanlum was used in the skin shader to add more softness, and the leather shader was created from various procedural noise layers only.
I was asked to provide a walkthrough of it's conception and creation for an Ilex book; Digital Sci-Fi Art recently, so this render was created as the conclusive image.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas,
and a peaceful New Year!
---oOo---
This year I decided to send out some promotional Christmas cards, and chose to revisit an experimental image from a couple of years ago to use as the base. Lighting has been improved (new area shadows/AO etc) and baubles, tinsel (Hair Dept Plugin) and 'Polaroids' of some recent illustrations have been added.
Cheers!
There is also a bonus characature of the mags editor!
A different style for me, but very enjoyable creating something this dense and diagramatic.
