Portrait of Lisa
Photoshop
June 2009

This is the final of a portrait of my wife I have been painiting on and off for the last few weeks. I posted a crop of the head earlier this week http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=772569

This was a self-set exercise for me to find out whether I could still 'paint' after so many years using mainly 3D tools. Wacom kindly loaned me a Cintiq 21UX, and I figured it would be a good test for both myself, and of the new product.

This full portrait has taken around 30-35hrs using Photoshop CS3 and the Cintiq, with about 10-12hrs spent on the face and hair. Hopefully I'll speed up though!

I have made some modifications to the face since the last posting as well (thanks for the points raised folks!) - I have been experimenting with having the background a neutral grey tone, which works nicely to set off the figure too, but my favourite is still the full warm look I have here.
