The ship (The Cougar) was designed and modeled for a Star Wars fan film (Revelations) - it has the starring role as the hero's heavily armed, smuggling vessel. The oversized engine/gun carriages are designed for fast take off and landing, as well as housing the large laser cannons.
I was asked to provide a walkthrough of it's conception and creation for an Ilex book; Digital Sci-Fi Art recently, so this render was created as the conclusive image.
